It’s common knowledge that everyone loves a good wine tour. Beautiful scenery, good company and delicious drops from some of the best wineries in the world. And no one does a smashing cellar door like Coriole.

Founded in 1967, Coriole’s rustic cellar door has been delighting South Australians and worldwide wine connoisseurs for almost half a century. Pioneering and specialising in their Sangiovese and Italian varieties since the 80’s, these guys do so much more than just a spectacular McLaren Vale Shiraz. Among the original vineyards planted after the end of World War One stand the idyllic farmhouses from the late 1800’s, nestled perfectly into the undulating McLaren Vale wine region. From the garden and cellar door, visitors are treated to glimpses of both sea and vines.

Well ladies and gentlemen, you can now!

Introducing Ciao Ciao, a pop up cellar door event brought to you by Coriole and the Producers Hotel.

Bringing a taste of McLaren Vale down to the city, Ciao Ciao will see the historic Producers Hotel transformed into a Mediterranean wonderland by the folks from By The Oak Tree, with a touch of rustic vintage décor reminiscent of the delightful McLaren Vale Coriole cellar door.

The two-night pop up event will see Coriole showcase their unique take on Italian style wine varietals with complimentary wine tastings, as well as a number of wines available by the glass or bottle. Cocktails more your style? The guys from the Thrift Shop Bar will have you covered, serving up expertly mixed, all Australian inspired cocktails utilising Coriole Prosecco and the new Adelaide Hills Applewood Distillery Aperitifs.

Because everyone knows you can’t drink on an empty stomach (well you can but we all know how that story ends), The Italian Kitchen will be there to line our stomachs with Antipasto boards, mouth-watering pasta dishes and wood fired pizza, all utilising local produce, Coriole olives & olive oil. If you can spare some room after that, there’ll be a gelato cart along with affogato’s & Italian style cannolis for those seeking the truly authentic Italian experience.

Coriole know the value of keeping things local. So, both nights will see a wonderful line up of home grown Adelaide talent with local lass Delia Obst, the global-indie inspired Conchillia, party starter The Funk Latin Union and DJ’s to keep the pop up party raging on Friday night. Saturday night will be no different, with Bec Stevens, Heymus and Adelaide favourites Koral and The Goodbye Horses bring their sass to the stage, and DJ Tr!p providing the beats until the early morn.

Tickets: $20 when you buy online at  or $25 on the door. Tickets include entry, entertainment and wine tastings.
