Craft Beer. Breweries. Beer Connoisseurs. These have all become synonymous with our identity in Radelaide, and is probably our second choice of beverage behind a good ol’ Farmers Union Iced Coffee.
Having already made quite a name for themselves in the burbs, Little Bang Brewing Company, from self-proclaimed nerds (of the gaming and beer persuasion) Filip Kemp and Ryan Davidson have their sights set on even bigger things in 2019.
Relocating a mere five minutes from their humble Union Street cellar door, this new Henry Street space is really something; 100 square metres of free rein to increase both production of their acclaimed product, and numbers to enjoy it. There’s ample seating for an after-work (or during work if that’s your thing) beverage or few, with a deliciously tempting array of food trucks to provide that necessary lining for your stomachs. Be responsible folks – if you’re going to have that fifth beer, it only makes sense that, for your safety, you DO have that juicy, juicy burger too. (Health, am I right?!)
Having said that, Fil insists that a kitchen is definitely in the works, to serve up an alternative to your typical pub grub. In his opinion, schnitties, parmies and fish and chips have all been done to death; his culinary inspo is “Asian Tapas”, something to the tune of what hugely popular Thai joint Golden Boy crank out. And if you’ve ever had the pleasure of knocking back one of LBB’s beers, mate, you’ll know that that is a heavenly match just waiting to happen.
There are twenty of these beers on tap - a mixture of LBB’s brews, and a rotation of guest stars from other local breweries, as well as featured international ones.
With their brand-spanking new warehouse space decked out with fairylights, a gaming arcade, plenty of seating, and so much room for activities, Little Bang Brewing Co is officially your new favourite hangout.
Do yourselves a favour Adelaide: start your weekends off with a big Little Bang.
Little Bang Brewing is located at 25 Henry Street Stepney, and is open
