Review: Tropicana Beach Club

Alexia Frangos

Sand between your toes, sipping on tasty cocktails, listening to Euro-inspired tunes, we’re in for a good Saturday night! We experienced a taste of the Europe last weekend at a beach club full of sun, sand, and spiked Ice Teas – Tropicana Beach Club was a night of seaside pleasures right in the middle of the city, located at the City Beach Volleyball Courts.

Apart from decking out the venue with lanterns, beach décor and the largest inflatable flamingos I’ve ever seen, organisers Lexus of Adelaide, Follow the Wolf Entertainment and Pitch & Press PR managed to create the perfect Ibiza experience. We’re talking samba dancers, fire breathers, promo models, and a summer fashion runway spectacular!

In the midst of all things going on in Adelaide at this time of the year, Tropicana was a success, boasting beautiful summer cocktails inspired by Patron Tequila, Moët & Chandon, Southern Comfort, including the very delicious Spiked Iced Tea and a strong Watermelon Mojito, while downing some wonderful eats from The Fat Fork.

The runway show included some of Adelaide’s up-and-coming labels including women’s swimwear label Marvin + Medusa, men’s clothing labels Steeze Villians Clothing and RompStomp Squad (Adelaide’s first men’s romper brand!) We got to experience the latest trends of our Aussie summer including bathers, rompers and casual clothing that set off a night of fun, flames and fine Euro tunes to bring in the weekend.

Combining colourful cultures of Europe and South America, Tropicana Beach Club was a perfect night to say goodbye to summer in style; drinking cocktails, watching runway shows, listening to beach tunes and enjoying the day-to-night atmosphere – summer, we’re sure gonna miss you!

We’d like to thank Jess at Pitch & Press PR, Follow the Wolf Entertainment, Lexus of Adelaide, and all sponsors for having us for your spectacular event, we hope to be back next year!
