PROPAGANDA: information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a point of view.
Well, no propaganda is required here, with Adelaide’s former supper club The Propaganda Club reinventing themselves into simply Propaganda. This late-night haunt was previously so exclusive it was only open a few nights a week, and at hospitality hours (think evenings to 6am).
But a venue so perfectly situated in the heart of Adelaide, at the Regent Arcade, 110 Grenfell Street, could not not make the most of its city business men and women right? They’ve listened, they’ve learnt, and have transformed themselves into a luncheon business, a dining club, and a killer place to grab yourself some cocktails. Now opening their doors 6 days a week (they’re closed Sundays) from 7am to late most days, this super cool site is the perfect place for two out of three of your day’s meals. (And you know what they say: Two out of Three most certainly Ain’t Bad).
Propaganda has always focused on quality, but with head chef Jon Kimber – of George’s on Waymouth fame – the menu itself has also had a facelift. The “simple, flavoursome dishes [that are] designed for sharing”, pair perfectly with the craft beers and creative cocktails on offer.
Meals are Asian-Australian inspired: think Wagyu Beef and Kim Chi Sliders, Handmade Dumplings or Porterhouse Beef with Fermented Black Bean and Spring Onion. (Just excuse me as I salivate in the corner).
Opening their doors to more hours has also opened themselves to more foot traffic, and a helluva lot more happy customers.
Whether it’s a long lunch, casual dinner, late night drinks, or a pit-stop on your night out, Propaganda has all your bases covered.
