Adelaide's Most Instagram-able Laneways

Adelaide's Most Instagram-able Laneways

Is your Instagram game lacking of late? Make your followers envious and fill your feed with some of the most photogenic laneways and side streets in Adelaide.

1. Solomon Street

Best for: Walls just made for colour blocking.

Pastel pinks contrasted against the vibrant façade of KWP! make it hard to tear your eyes away from Solomon Street. Once you’ve got your first snap, head further down into the car park area for a wall that looks as if it’s covered in a dusting of rainbow sprinkles.

While you’re there: Make a pit stop at Sunny’s and grab some of the best pizza in Adelaide.

2. Laneway off Coromandel Place

Best for: 3-4-1 deal.

Boasting three incredible pieces of street art by various artists, this is arguably one of the coolest hidden spots in the city.

While you’re there: Head around the corner to the equally Instagramable Osteria Oggi and grab some fresh pasta, while snapping shots of their cobblestone floor and aesthetic archways.

3. Chesser Street

Best for: Red bricks and lush vines.

Ever since the (now sadly closed) Henry Austin re-vined Chesser Street, the red bricks and green coverings have combined to form the perfect spot for an Instagram update.

While you’re there: Take a few steps across the road and into the Regent Arcade to visit One Hectare, Have You Met Charlie? and Oh Deer Sugar. Beside the fact that all three stores are brimming with charm (umm, fairy bread bath bombs anyone?), they’re also all rad Adelaide businesses, stocking work by local and independent artists and makers.

4. Corner of Moger Lane and Tam Oshanter Place

Best for: Instagram feeds inspired by ice cream, unicorns and all things rainbow.

A new addition to the list and one not to miss. Local talent Mimby Jones Robinson’s rainbow lady towers over Moger Lane, and is the perfect backdrop to your summer snaps.

While you’re there: Sneak around the corner and spy the second artwork in the small carpark.
