Returning for the fourth year running to Tarwin Lower (South Gippsland, Victoria), Unify - a Heavy Music Gathering has pushed a line up bigger and better than ever before. As a result it has also sold out for the fourth time. Lucky, we’ve got the details on how you can get your hands on a few tickets!
After last year’s epic show of bands from around the world, the 2018 line up carries on the reputation of the festival when it comes to producing solid line ups. After last year’s controversy about the lack of bands with female members at the festival, organisers have made sure to include several more this year. Could there be a few more? Potentially. Have the organisers tried to deliver a quality line up and be more inclusive? Definitely. Tonight Alive and The Beautiful Monument are two of our favourite acts featuring female members (both bands feature evermore impressive vocals!)
So who will be at this years festival? Check out the line up below!
Yeah, amidst all the other festivals currently dropping huge line ups, it's nearly impossible to go past just how big this is! Our picks for the festival are:
The Beautiful Monument - These three women are absolutely killing it! In a music genre that is so largely dominated by males, they're breaking stereotypes and as a result will surely have bone breaking mosh pits rallying in-front of them at Unify.
Hellions - Coming off an absolute whirlwind of success after dropping their album Opera Oblivia, these guys can seriously work a crowd! Did we mention they recently dropped a cover of Green Day's - Jesus of Suburbia? It's fucking brilliant.
Four Year Strong - They're literal gods of the pop/punk genre, what more can we say?
Polaris - January last year they dropped their first EP, November of this year they drop their first album, plus they've toured with bands like In Hearts Wake. By the time Unify comes around we'd be surprised if they weren't being requested to play other shows around the world.
Parkway Drive - This is more of an honourable mention. Parkway are known to be some of the best showmen in the business and this Unify is regarded as their 'Decade of Horizons'.
In saying that, there are a bunch of other amazing bands to be seen but we'll leave you to plan your festival around that.
As above we mention that the festival was sold out but you can still get tickets by visiting Twickets . This year, Twickets have teamed up with Unify to offer a platform for ticket resale. By doing this they're attempting to eliminate ticket scalping and provide a better opportunity for everyone to get a ticket at cost price. You can visit the direct site HERE.
So what are you waiting for, go start your ticket hunt!
