Spring has sprung across Adelaide and so too have the latest SS17 trends. With bold colours, staple florals and a neutral white palette hitting the agenda, we couldn’t wait to get our hands around this season's hottest threads. Luckily for us, one of Adelaide's go-to CBD shopping destinations, Rundle Place, let us play dress up with the centre’s latest collections.
Endlessly inspired by the central CBD studio space of Grays PR and fuelled with goodies by The Organik Store and Café, we were ready to raid the racks of Rundle Place’s best to get the low-down on the must-have pieces for SS17.
This spring sees the 80’s wiggle its way back into our wardrobes as colour blocking has a serious moment. Bold pink, red and blue hues are sure to make a statement, either worn head to toe or mixed-and-matched.
Florals are back for SS17 (in the famous words of Miranda Priestly, ground breaking). All jokes aside, a number of Rundle Place retailers are offering a bunch of gorgeous springtime floral prints. Our fave from the morning is the Mila Wrap Tea Dress from Portmans.
Underlying it all is a clean and fresh white palette. A pared back minimalist base to build off of is a cause we can firmly get behind. We're certain that you can do no wrong with a good white tee. Mixing and matching cuts and hues, we recommend the Kookai Tee with Ted Baker Chelseh ripped boyfriend fit jeans.
The most important trend of all, Rundle Place centre manager, Kate Jarman, says, “one of the biggest over-arching trends and themes for this season is the expression for everyone to mix it up and wear in their own way. Our Rundle Place Roadshow starts that message of creating and engineering your own style with our clothes and accessories.”
SS17 also sees the launch of an exciting new venture for Rundle Place. This September, the fashion plaza announced its all-new fashion savvy styling team of Adelaide’s fashion industry experts. Boasting an impressive range of women, the styling team are sure to be your guardian angels for spring and summer fashion this season.
Kate says, “We have brought together an incredibly fashion forward and diverse range of women to share their style, and help our Rundle Place customers find their own fashion moments.”
“Our styling team and our Style Sessions have grown in popularity year on year, with busy women finding that little extra ‘outside help and support’ really works for them,” she continues.
We can't get enough of SS17 fashion at Rundle Place and loved styling our gorg sunny season ensembles. To get your hands of the threads for yourself, head to Rundle Place’s stellar range of retailers or head to their website for more details.
