For the third year running, the Reclink Community Cup is back in Adelaide. This Sunday is set to be a huge match! Setting Adelaide’s media against Adelaide’s musos, you can forget the AFL grand final 'cos this is where the party is at this year. (No seriously, there’s pre-parties, post parties and basically the entire game will be a party.)
This year teams are captained by Jessica Braithwaite from Channel 9 Weather for the Anchors and Dan Adey, ‘The muso who’s been everywhere and done that’, for the Rockatoos. Plus, our own Jason Katsaras and Harrison Schultz will be playing for the Anchors, supporting the team all the way to their first win!
Apart from the competitive side of the day, the event’s main goal is to raise funds for Reclink Australia, which helps to give disadvantaged Australians a better life. The day will feature plenty of live music, food and beer to accompany the fantastic game of footy.
What about those parties mentioned before? The 12th of July will hold The Anchors' Annual Pie Night at The Wheatsheaf, while the 14th of July has the Pre Game Gig Bonanza at The Grace Emily. Both will feature raffles, with a few prizes up for grabs. It's also the perfect chance to have a few cold ones and hear some of the banter between both teams.
If you can’t get to the pre-game events, then try and make it out to the game. Remember, it will be a great day, for a great cause!
