Show your appreciation for your Mum this Mother’s Day (Sunday 14th May - don’t worry, you’re not the only one who needed reminding) by treating her to a special day out together. Here are some of our favourite ideas to make this Mother’s Day special in Adelaide this year.
Mother’s Day Classic
Honour your Mum - and all Mum’s - by raising money for breast cancer research and participating in the Mother’s Day Classic fun-run. Online registrations close on the 12th May at noon, so get your tickets quick. You have the option of either a 4.6km walk or run, or a 7.3km walk or run. Don’t forget to wear pink and show your support for breast cancer awareness, too!
When: 6:30am Sunday 14th May
Where: Peace Park, opposite the Memorial Hospital (located on the corner of Sir Edwin Smith Avenue, and War Memorial Drive)
For more information on prices, timetables and prizes go to the Mother’s Day Classic website here.
Mother’s Day Brunch @ Sanctuary Adelaide Zoo
If a 6am wakeup call on Mother’s Day isn’t your idea of the perfect day, perhaps a delicious two course brunch (with a complimentary class of champers for Mum of course) at the Sanctuary Adelaide Zoo sounds like a better option.
When: 10am - 1pm Sunday 14th May
Price: $35 per person
Bookings can be made via the website www.sanctuaryadelaidezoo.com.au or on 8230 1313
Mother’s Day High Tea Fundraiser @ Ayers House
Join Essentials 4 Women SA for a delectable and pampering High Tea experience at Adelaide's iconic Ayer’s House. Essentials 4 Women SA are a charity that provide disadvantaged women in South Australia with access to basic feminine hygiene products - access to which many of us take for granted.
The day will include music, food and a mini-manicure for all guests. Sounds perfect!
When: 1:30pm - 4:30pm Sunday 14th May
Price: $80 per person, or $130 for you and mum
Bookings can be made via Amy Rust on 0423012619 or email@example.com

Mother’s Day Seafood Buffet Lunch @ The Promenade Restaurant

Bookings can be made via The Promenade Restaurant on 8375 0612
Mother’s Day screening of Viceroy’s House @ GU Film House
If food or fitness aren’t quite you or Mum’s cup of tea - or you consider yourselves to be a couple of movie buffs - then the GU Film House would be a perfect idea for Mum’s special day. Take Mum to the specialty advance screening of Viceroy’s House - a historical drama surrounding the independence of India after years of British colonisation.
