A brand born from a passion for exercise, an appreciation of innovative design and a healthy dose of community values; Lululemon’s chic new Rundle Mall locale is the embodiment of these core qualities. Launching bright and early last Thursday morning, Lululemon opened its doors to Adelaide’s eagerly awaiting, active-wear clad fitness buffs.
The transition to a bigger and better shopfront, Rundle Mall’s latest activewear store isn’t the CBD’s first taste of the Canadian brand. Previously tucked away in James Place, the brands simple, luxe active wear and accessories now take centre stage at Lulu’s stylish new location.
To celebrate the brand new store, we took to Power Living on Halifax Street for an express early morning yoga flow. Donning our Lululemon Anew Tights and Swiftly Racerback tanks, we were looking good and feeling even better. In the perfect collision of function and fashion, our tights featured laser-cut artwork at the calf for ventilation and style while the flat waistband ensured the perfect fit. Comfortable, breathable and with gorgeous aesthetics to boot, we couldn’t help but feel inspired to get moving in our Lulu attire.
The class itself saw our usual sluggish selves transform into energised yogis. Stretching to the best of our ability, we enjoyed the studio’s natural lighting, high ceilings and serene vibes. Following a brisk half hour session of Downward Dog, Warrior II and other yoga poses, we were left energised, centred and ready to embrace the day.
Whisked away to the Adelaide Central Plaza store, we were greeted by an impressive brekky spread by the plant-based catering legends at Nagev Adelaide. Green smoothie bowls, chocolate alternatives, gluten free toasties and delish protein balls were in abundance, with Lululemon branded kombucha by Willunga’s Mojo Kombucha on hand to wash it all down.
The delicious spread was a mere taste of the Adelaide store’s local focus. In line with Lululemon’s core value of elevating surrounding communities, the themed store launch, “ADL is ___”, saw a partnership with a multitude of local businesses.
The most obvious collab was the stunning map mural that adorned not only the wall but also the mystery box out front and each of the kombucha labels. Depicting some of our fave Adelaide’s CBD haunts, Lulu recruited local legend Harriet McKay to help transform the Central Plaza shopfront from its former drab bookstore days.
Now hosting a clean palette, open plan and an elegant fit out, the new store is home to each and every active essential. From the aforementioned snug leggings and breathable tanks, through to yoga mats, socks, sweat towels and underwear, Lululemon will have you channelling your inner fitspo in no time.
We loved checking out Lululemon’s range of gorgeous activewear essentials. To embrace their passion for wellbeing, community and stunning threads, head down to the Adelaide Central Plaza Lululemon store or chuck them a follow here.
