Hot off the press, just today, Uber have launched a new extension to their brand in the form of UberVino. After mass success following the introduction of UberEats, Uber is bringing the same excitement, convenience and modernity to UberVino. What's more, is that UberVino is exclusive to Adelaide. I couldn't think of a better place to launch an Uber wine touring service, than in the world renowned Adelaide Hills.
Organising a wine tour can be a tedious, bothersome and arduous task. With UberVino you'll have nothing to 'wine' about. Forget the bus that you have to book and organise weeks in advance, and forget appointing a designated driver; let UberVino be your deso.
By some miracle, or deal with the Devil, UberVino is available for as cheap as $39 per hour. Even more unbelievable is the promotion they're running for first time UberVino customers. You might want to sit down before reading this, because this deal could well have you falling over yourself like a lady in six inch heels on a wine tour trying to walk across a gravel path. It's that good. First time UberVino customers (that's everyone) will receive $20 off per person. Maths has never quite been my forte, but all jokes aside, for a four hour wine tour this works out to be just $19 each for a four person car hire. Sacré bleu, it almost sounds too good to be true! At this price you’re pretty much turning water into wine, especially when you consider the lucrative price of a Voss bottle of water.
UberVino is partnering with five wineries, and one fromagère (cheesemaker) in the Adelaide Hills region; all of whom will be offering exclusive deals to UberVino passengers. Some of these exclusive offers include:
Sidewood Estate: offering a free bucket of golf balls to take a swing at and a free premium wine tasting.
The Lane: offering a free Block series tasting, and a 2 for 1 Indulgence and Experience tasting. Usually $20 each, this tasting will be $10 for UberVino customers, so take advantage of this!
Howard Vineyard: offering free beer and wine tastings, and 20% off any wine and cheese tasting plates.
Artwine: offering a $10 gift voucher for a glass of wine
Somerled: offering a free half glass of their flagship Somerled Shiraz for every half glass purchased from their stable of wines.
Woodside Cheese: offering 50% off a $20 cheese pack - I was able to sample this and it was a real highlight from the tour.
Have a sneak preview of the UberVino experience in the gallery below:
The good news doesn't stop here though. Feeling famished after the wine tour? Feel like you could smash a naan bread or two? Uber is also offering $10 off your first order with the code UBEREATSVINO. Uber saves the day, again!
Budget friendly, and completely tailored to suit you, UberVino will revolutionise wine touring and create tourism for South Australia, particularly in the Adelaide Hills. Be one of the first to experience this for yourself. UberVino is available within the regular Uber App, so there's no hassle with having to download yet another program to your phone.
