Five Adelaide Makeup Artists To Watch In 2017

Five Adelaide Makeup Artists To Watch In 2017

Alexia Frangos

All over social media we see beautiful faces that are painted by some of the best makeup artists around the world. As much as we try and try again to do it ourselves at home, it just doesn't look the same. No matter how many makeup tricks, hacks and products we use, we just can't seem to get that flawless, magical finish that professionals possess. Why put yourself through the fierce concentration of winged eyeliner, annoyance of placing on fake lashes, and the pure agony of perfecting your highlighter?

We've found the best of the best in Adelaide, so you can leave it to the experts for any occasion, making you go from Miranda Sings to Miranda Kerr in no time.

Angela Mitsopoulos

She's been in the makeup industry for almost 6 years and has worked with Inglot; Angela finds her passion in fashionable looks to suite your personal style. She also has a knack for creating theatre makeup looks for any dress-up and halloween inspired occasion, using high-end products that many are familiar with.

Angela creates a flawless finish using her airbrush foundation technique or by traditional makeup application; it feels like you're hardly wearing anything! Her prices range from $60-$80 with free lash application and if you mention this article when booking with Angela, you'll receive $15 off the price! She is located at Raw Couture salon 229A Rundle Street, Adelaide – perfect for any occasion to get your makeup and hair done in the one spot. Contact her on 0433979805 and check out her work on Raw Couture's Instagram.

Katherine Andonas

Katherine's speciality in makeup includes special events, weddings, formals and even wine tours. She has extensive experience in fashion editorials and runway makeup as she's worked on shoots with RAW Adelaide, local designers, Carnevale Fashion Show, and Melbourne Cup Fashion Parades.

Katherine also teaches one-on-one makeup lessons to show her clients step by step makeup looks from day to night, where you can learn techniques only the qualified know how to perfect! She teaches essential knowledge about contouring, creating a perfect base and any eye look they want to know, so if you want some hands on experience she's your gal! Her favourite part about being a makeup artist is showing her client the completed look. "Their face lights up, I love that I'm able to make them feel confident and beautiful, and am so grateful to have that ability". Her studio is a 10 minute drive from Adelaide CBD, but can travel to you for specific services. You can reach Katherine through her Facebook page and check out her Instagram for more snaps. Mention this article when booking with Katherine and get a free lash application for special event makeup.

Her makeup prices start from $50, with full-set lash extensions for $80, nails from $20 and massages from $30. Panayiota can travel to your group of 3+ for bookings, plus she teaches one on one and group classes in her shop. Mention this article when booking with Panayiota to receive $10 off any service valued over $25. You can contact her on the East 85 Beauty Bar Facebook and check out her Instagram for more inspo.

Kiah Demasi

Kiah is an all-rounder when it comes to beauty and making her clients shine. She offers her clients special event makeup application, hair styling for your event, shellac and SNS nails (that actually last), and spray tan application that looks like you just sat at Henley all weekend. As a one-stop shop, Kiah specialises in overall formal looks for you to get your best beauty on. You can find Kiah in the Norwood area but she can travel to you for weddings and Sunday events.
