Sammy J has been a favourite Australian comic for years, often gracing our telly screens and our lounge rooms with laughter. Therefore when we heard he was coming to the fringe this year, we leapt at the opportunity.
For a long time, Sammy J's performance has been tied with that of Randy, his mate, that blue puppet thing. Stripped of Randy's back and forth banter opportunities, 'Hero Complex' reminded us that he himself is a hilarious, witty and brilliant comedian. While we don't want to give away spoilers, we can tell you that Sammy took the audience on a journey of mateship, adversity and growing up throughout 'Hero Complex', all the while having us laugh our socks off. The end result was such an awesomely funny and touching show, that we honestly can recommend this to anyone.
Well done Sammy, Please come back soon!
