Adelaide has been graced with a brand new local band, going by the name of Stone Eyes. These four lads have surprised audiences with such tight performances, having only formed back in June last year. They've been writing like mad-men ever since to produce some quality songs that are, as the band describes as, "loud, fast and fat riffs with a hint of sadness and angst."
Members Jordan (vocals), Joe (guitar), Daniel (bass) and Punda (drums) seem to gel really well together and produce a groovy vibe that shows in their set. They recently played at The Exeter and tore the roof down throughout the night. The front room began to fill up quite quickly and soon enough, people were crowding around the bar just to grab a listen. Front man Jordan belted some stunning raspy vocals, there was a tonne of emotion in the singer's voice which only added to the melodic fast pace vibes of the guitar, bass and drums. Stone Eyes' sound is best described as Stoner Rock, they are very influenced by Black Sabbath, Fu Manchu, and Sleep.
If you have seen these fellas play and love their music, we got great news! It's said that Stone Eyes are planning to be head to the studio to start recording. They also will be announcing a new gig in January, the date is still to be announced however so keep your eyes and ears open and look out for it!
