Friday evening saw glamour, elegance and excitement all on show as Something Borrowed celebrated their first year in Adelaide at Hindley Street’s The Apothecary. With the promise of a beautiful venue to display equally gorgeous gowns, we enjoyed a night full of the glitz and glam that has come to embody the Something Borrowed experience.
Something Borrowed is the genius of Mia Theodoropoulos, a woman truly enthralled in the world of fashion. If you have ever dreamt of walking the red carpet or being snapped in an A-list gown, the stylists at SB are your fairy godmothers. Beginning in Melbourne, the company expanded to our town in 2015, hence the first birthday celebrations!
The concept is unique, offering the ladies of Melbourne, Perth and our very own Adelaide the opportunity to hire stunning designer dresses for a range of occasions. Appointments are available Wednesday through Friday and walk ins on Saturdays are most welcome. Even better, the designer rental boutique will hook you up with your own stylist, so you can be sure that you’ll leave with the perfect dress for your body, taste and occasion!
Since their arrival last year, endless love and effort has been poured into the Adelaide store from Owner and Founder Mia and Store Manager Vincenza Demicoli. We had a blast celebrating and commemorating the success that the girls have well and truly earned during their first year in Radelaide!
The Apothecary proved the perfect backdrop for such a celebration, with the intimate function room boasting stylish décor. It was a night full of not only luxury and glam but also fun and festivities. Champagne, personalised lollipops by Petal and Pop as well as bright bulbs displayed their signature hashtag, #SB, and all made for an event complimented the brand’s glam status perfectly. We were treated to a fashion show of just some of their drop-dead gorgeous pieces. The stunning gowns commanded the attention of the room, we just couldn’t keep our eyes off of them!
Something Borrowed are one of Adelaide’s biggest dress hiring boutiques and we can’t wait to see what they have in stall for their second year. Happy Birthday to all of the #SBgirls of RADL.
