With a limitless repertoire of one-liners, the quick-witted and crude comedian Josh Wade unapologetically knows how to stir a crowd. Lucky for us, Wade is returning to Radelaide with his brand new show, Cunny's Modern Life, where he will introduce us to his crazy alter-ego, ‘Cunny’. The internationally-recognised comedian is set to take us down a spiralling journey of weird and wacky realisations on the state of our society on Thursday, 25 August and Friday, 26 August live at the Rhino Room.
Radelaidians may remember Wade from his previous tour The Club Rub at Pirie Street Social in 2014 and The Ramsgate Hotel in 2015 or know him from his globally popular YouTube channel, oldschoolbodyparts. Renowned for sending his audience “into a f*cking frenzy”, Wade has mastered the recipe of tongue-in-cheek, razor-sharp wit, audience participation and remarkable natural talent. Needless to say, the world can’t get enough of his entertaining vulgarity.
In his upcoming show, Wade draws inspiration from the fact that Australia has had more Prime Ministers in three years than he has sexual partners in his entire life. Adding to the show’s motivation is the piercing reality that Kayne West and Donald Trump have legitimate chances of becoming President of the United States, which also highlights some alarming facts about our society Wade aims to address. Wade has recently returned from America where he filmed A Guide To America, so it’s safe to say that he has garnered a fresh and comedic outlook on the USA that is bound to appear in Cunny's Modern Life. But don't worry, his bogan and stereotypical Aussie persona will most certainly be present (it goes without saying, really).
