Last Friday the girls from Girl About Town were back at again, putting on an amazing show to present Sok Hoffman’s latest collection. The Adelaide designer walked her latest label at West Lakes’ Lakes Resort.
Malachi’s first Fashion Parade ran smoothly with guests treated to champagne, a range of canapés and an exquisite show. The Lakes Resort delivered the perfect framework for Venue Productions to put on a exquisite show of fairy lights, runway and décor. We had an awesome time with the photo booth by Rubi X Booths and were stunned by the gorgeous array of Powell Models. It was an exciting and inspiring night both for brides-to-be and their guests alike.
The exclusive launch presented the last two years of hard work and 21 dresses that had gone into The Wildflower Collection. In that time, Hoffman has developed an ethereal range of hand crafted designs to suit the romantic, delicate and elegant bride. The designer’s enthusiasm and dedication to creating distinct, beautiful dresses shone through in her range of gowns characterised by graceful tulle skirts, subtle blush undertones and elegant lace.
The collection's beauty extends further in the designer's attention to detail. Whether it’s intricate hand-appliqued lace, experimentation with sheer skirts or often plunging back detailing, Hoffman is sure to leave each bride with a dreamy, unique gown. The collection’s namesake did not disappoint, with stunning floral arrangements from Wyld Orchids to accompany each of the designs. Bouquets, wreathes and flower crowns, not to forget the impressive runway adornments complimented the earthly designs perfectly.
With gowns to suit all women, Hoffman's passion for dressmaking and design shines through in each of the beautifully intricate pieces on show. While the theme of detailed bodices and show stopping skirts was consistent throughout, each dress was beautifully unique just as a wildflower should be. We were also thrilled with the inclusion of suits, a couple of BLACK gowns and adorable flower girl designs. The latter had a personal touch as Hoffman’s daughters, keen to be involved and clearly proud of their mum’s work, walked a few of the flower girl pieces.
