Whether you’re having a down day, need a pick-me-up after a kinda crappy week, or it’s been a while since you’ve had some serious ‘me time’, we have a bit of everything for everyone’s self-care routines. And self-care is important. Really.
We can’t give you a hug IRL, but we can give you this. A local’s guide for self-love. One of the ways to make yourself better is by giving (an actual fact!), and by supporting these gorgeous people and places, you’ll be helping you. Look at all this love already!

Whether your local is the city, Glenelg or Modbury – Adelaide’s own bikram yoga studios will have you feeling strong (and sweaty) in no time. And as good as chocolate is for self-care, so is moving your limbs! Releasing endorphins! Happy days! Get a delish smoothie while you’re at it. Check out the timetables here and get going.
While it’s school holidays, the Central Markets have some fun things lined up. If you have a little person in your life who you can snag up for the day, do it. They have cooking classes, free petting zoos, face painting, craft workshops and market trails… As if looking at the face of a wee one isn’t going to make you joyful enough, mix in some small animals. The full list is here for you.
While you’re there, stalls like Goodies & Grains and Plantation Juice Co. will have you grinning, too. More good food. More local loving.
Louise Woodhouse Flowers
What better way to show love than through flowers? Louise's shop off Rundle Mall is a true treat. Maybe pick up something for your best pal, too. You'll feel good for it, remember?
