Tonight The Montreals, a relatively fresh off the block, local Indie Rock group have released a new EP teaser directed by Charles Phillpot, and luckily we were the first to get our grubby hands on it. Ahead of their Debut EP Indigo Club's release later in the year, the video's simplicity and humour has once again reminded us why we should be super excited to hear some new music.
The upcoming EP will be mixed by Magoo who has worked with the likes of the Jungle Giants and Art vs. Science. Plus, it's being mastered by Studio 301's Steve Smart who in turn has worked with big names like British India and Vance Joy.
The Four piece have received much critical acclaim in their year or so of existence, with the likes of Dave Ruby Howe from Triple J Unearthed saying that their only currently released song 'becoming strangers' is "hitting the sweet spots of energy and hooks".
These guys have road tested much of their upcoming works too, with consistent gigs supporting the likes of Andy Bull and Last Dinosaurs. Overall These guys' sound is both charged with emotion, yet bouncy and polished enough to get seriously stuck in your head, we love it.
