Last Friday we ventured onto the Girl About Town Progressive Dinner bus to experience three courses, at three different suburban pubs, showcasing three new Winter Menus. You could say we were living the dream.
Our night began at The Colonist where we sampled some of their new entrees - Caramelised Scallops, Confit Pulled Pork Belly in an open Wonton Shell and Wild Rabbit Ragu. Each were served with a perfectly matched wine from their extensive wine list, showcasing a number of different flavours perfect for those cooler Winter months.
The tables are set at @thecolonisttavern for tonight's Eat, Tweet & Street Progressive dinner 🍽 #thecolonistnorwood #GATeatandtweet #progressivedinner #eattweetstreet #threemenusthreevenues #foodies #tgif #friyay #eatlocal #salocal #bloggers #events #pr #newmenu #fresh #yum #adelaide #gat #girlabouttown #clients #gatclients #gatpr #gatevents

After a lovely start to the evening, we hopped on the bus to head over to The Mile End, one of our favourite haunts in the Mile End area. We were seated in one of their funky dining areas and treated to the 'Sloe Down' Cocktail to begin with, which had a nutty Amaretto taste and topped with a glazed cherry. Deeeelish! For main we had a taste of the Atlantic Salmon, SA lamb backstrap & Carbonnade of Beef matched with a range of amazing SA wines.
Last but not least, our night finished up at The Unley for dessert and cocktails. Being a sucker for anything sweet, this was by far our favourite stop as we got to experience three incredible cocktails matched with a taste of three delightful desserts!

After a night of eating and drinking at three Adelaide pubs, we'd have to recommend The Mile End's Atlantic Salmon served with finger potatoes, goji berry and macadamia puree, green beans, steamed egg, dehydrated olives and heirloom tomatoes. So different and so tasty!
If there's one thing you may have noticed about us, it's that we are borderline alcoholics, so of course we have to recommend The Unley's Pomegranate and Vanilla Mojito, which was all bits fruity, sweet, sour, zesty and bloody delightful.
If you find yourself looking for a meal in the 'burbs, try one of these venue's new Winter Menus. They won't disappoint!
