You like having fun, right? Of course you do, which means the Waymouth Street Party and the Hutt Street Party coming this weekend are perfect for you. Fret not, they do not occur on the same night, with Waymouth Street Party taking place on Friday March 4 and the Hutt Street Party happening on Saturday March 5.
The Waymouth Street Party is being presented by the Adelaide West End Association and Waymouth Street Traders as a part of the Adelaide Fringe, and is set to have a wide menagerie of foods available from places such as Press* food & wine, Melt Pizzeria, Proof, Kangkong and Delicatessen Kitchen & Bar. Bistro Dom is also planning to reveal its all-new outdoor dining space to coincide with the street party.
Aside from all the wondrous food, the street party will also host live art, dancers and DJs throughout the evening.
Meanwhile, the Hutt Street Party is being hosted by the Havelock Hotel, but the festivities are by no means restricted to just this venue.
The street party will be celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, with live music and a vast array of food and drinks (non-alcoholic too, of course) to keep you happy. At the Coopers Main Stage, electronic indie band Escapades will perform, while local DJs from the Havelock Hotel will also give you plenty of tunes to move to.
As well as this, the Street Garden will be run by The Hills Cider Company, which sounds like the place to be if you are in need of refreshment.
With both Waymouth Street and Hutt Street being so central, you can easily make a stopover after a Fringe show or two. How convenient!
