Arguably one of the most highly anticipated features of The Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Garden of Unearthly Delights returns with a killer 2017 program. With laughs, tunes, magic and more, it's no wonder the program’s drop has us prepping for Mad March before the silly season has even begun. Earning its status as a fan favourite over the years thanks to its carnival atmosphere and world class line-up, The Garden is dressed to impress once again and with over 100 shows across 13 venues, The Garden of Unearthly Delights is set to be out of this world.
Garden-goers can expect to be transported to a different time and place, leaving all of the daily grind behind with Rundle Park undergoing a makeover and a half to be transformed into the vintage carnival we all know and love. With its fantasy inducing and alluring vibes its no wonder that the outdoor performing arts precinct sees more than 750,000 people through their gates each season. Unique and fabulous in every right, the Garden sets the scene for 2017’s wickedly wonderful programme of acts.
A thriving hub of talent from comedy to music and cabaret, this year’s line-up is bringing their A-game. After spending the year scouring the globe for only the best of the best, the team behind The Garden bring acts such as the hit production Blanc de Blanc and festival favourite LIMBO Unhinged, which this year is set to delve deeper than ever before into the dark world of its award winning show.
Keen on a giggle? This year’s Garden will have you in stitches. The arena will host an array of classic favourites from the Australian circuit with the likes of Dave Hughes, Tom Gleeson, Hannah Gadsby, Cal Wilson and the ICONIC Rove McManus. Joining them, an array of hilarious young guns such as Joel Creasey, Tommy Little and Tom Ballard.
If you’re more concerned with getting your groove on, this year’s line-up of musical talent will not disappoint. We are stoked to see Adelaide’s own ARIA award winning darling, Tasha Coates of The Audreys taking to the Garden’s stage. Joining her is none other than Australian music juggernaut Kate Ceberano as well as Ella Hooper, Katie Noonan and Clairy Browne! Talk about girl power.
With a lineup this good we’ve already started pencilling in all of our must-see acts so grab your diary and head on over to The Garden’s website to snap up tickets to all of your faves!
