C.R.E.A.M, but not like you know it. Coffee Rules Everything Around Me is the mantra and the namesake of one of Brighton’s most bustling coffee joints. After transforming what most would have considered an unusable space, the C.R.E.A.M team are serving up good coffee with a smile each and every time.
The WuTang inspired fit out is home to a menu and coffee that consistently pulls in the crowds, boasting everything from hotcakes topped with fried chicken and PB&J French toast to delicious seasonal smoothie bowls. Don’t trust us? Trust the likes of Boo Seeka, Suffa MC and Ziggy Alberts who each love the spot so much they even signed the walls.
October 3rd marked an entire year since the team at C.R.E.A.M opened their doors to the excited Brighton locals, and since then the teeny shop has become an integral part of the Jetty Road street scape. It has been a year of successes with owner Joshua Rivers ranking second in SA for latte art, as well as the brunch spot winning not only Best Breakfast Restaurant but also Best Café/Restaurant at this year’s Restaurant and Catering Awards. Obviously a celebration was in order for not only the store’s loyal following, but also the rad staff that keep the place bouncing.
Celebrate we did! The day saw a collaboration between the café and their mates Shane and James from Jetty Road Tattoos. Offering a range of coffee and Wutang inspired flash for just a twenty, as well as one dollar takeaways, hoards of regulars filled the wait-list before the tattooing had even begun. From coffee beans and steaming cups to the name that started it all, the boys did an awesome job of providing every client with a good experience, even within the hustle and bustle of the busy café. Adelaide braved the winter that seems to never want to leave, with not even the rain and wind deterring those eager to get their hands on what truly has become the famous C.R.E.A.M cup.
We had a blast joining in on the birthday bash and can’t wait to continuing to hit up Brighton Jetty Road’s worst kept secret. Get in on the action by showing the team some love on their Instagram and Facebook and be sure to make your next cuppa a C.R.E.A.M cuppa. Here’s to another year of their coffee literally ruling everything around us.
