If anyone tells you that rock and roll is dead in Adelaide, just drag them along to this festival.
The self-proclaimed "secret society of Stonecutters" will be hosting some of the most highly-exalted rock bands this state (and country) has to offer at the even more secretive Freemason's Lodge on North Terrace.
STONECUTTERS have just announced that joining Melbourne punks The Peep Tempel at the top of the bill will be Adelaide's own Bad//Dreems. With Bad//Dreems' Dogs at Bay show already sold out at Fowlers, their addition to the line-up is a timely one.
But STONECUTTERS isn't all about the top billing. God God Damnit Damnit will bring their formidable ten-piece rock/funk/rock/punk live show to the party, while Hightime will bring that utterly rapid sound which has seen them support the likes of The Bronx to the fore. Stalwarts of Adelaide's live scene haven't been left out either with Horror My Friend, Sincerely Grizzly, Young Offenders and Tall Enough To See bringing some serious local heat to the event.
With "beer busts, beer blasts, keggers, stein hoists and AA meetings" also on the cards for Saturday the 26th of September, it's safe to say STONECUTTERS won't disappoint.
With tickets staying at pre-sale prices for one more week, sleeping on this will mean expulsion from the Order and The Stone of Shame...Or something like that anyway.
