Inimitable punk rock trailblazer Wil Wagner is bringing The Smith Street Band back from the UK and Reading and Leeds Festival stages later this year, to embark on their biggest Australian tour to date.
The tour kicks off on 6th September with a hometown show at 170 Russell, before making its way to Radelaide and The Gov on Thursday 17th September. The band will visit every state and territory in the country covering every corner of the continent.
The Smith Street Band have been touring non-stop over the past 12 months rocking the US, UK, Europe and of course their sold out Australian tour last November. Along the way, they have developed an insane following, with a reputation for mind-blowing live shows.
Their third studio album, 'Throw Me In the River,' received widespread critical acclaim receiving a top 20 ARIA berth and dominating Triple J airplay, including being feature album of the week and appearing throughout the Hottest 100.
The band plunged themselves into the hearts of most Australians with their recently released, politically-charged EP titled, 'Wipe That Shit-Eating Grin Off Your Punchable Face' an ode to Prime Minister Tony Abbott.
The band will be supported by anti-folk troupe Andrew Jackson Jihad (US), Ohio indie outfit The Sidekicks (US) and Melbourne rockers The Sugarcanes culminating in an elite experience.
