Adelaide's freshest PR company Girl About Town celebrated their first birthday last week. True to form, the girls behind the PR agency put on a fabulous night for Adelaide's VIP guest list, playing on the GAT acronym and making The Great GATsby come to life.
On arrival, guests walked down the white carpet before being shown through Miss Gatsby's Mansion gates by Finesse Models. Sat in a life-size martini glass, a 1920's cabaret dancer greeted guests who were treated to champagne and a breathtaking view. From a far, the secret Rymill Park was revealed, shining brightly against the dark trees and still lake. The park was transformed into a Gatsby affair with a dazzling marquee and scotch and cigar bar, whilst guests were all dressed to the nines.
Inside the marquee stood candelabras, 1920's sofas and beautiful flower arrangements contrasting against the shining ceiling draped in fairy lights. Throughout the evening, entertainment was provided by Bellarouge dancers and compare Matthew Gilbertson, whilst our bellies were kept full with gormet pizza from Good Life Pizza and sushi from Sushi Planet. Champagne and wine from Swire & Noble, and Malt Fiction craft beers were the drinks of choice, along with a second bar filled with some of the finest scotch and cigars.
Guests drank and mingled under the dazzling marquee, whilst selfies and social media snaps were abundant. As a little gift, the team from Social Playground were printing instagram images out for guests with the use of the #gatGATsby hashtag. DJ Krisp spun new and old tunes to get the crowd a-movin' and a-shakin', whilst the GAT girls partied the night away.
Before the end of the evening, GAT Director and Founder Maree Stoubos made a beautiful speech, thanking guests and clients for their support over the past year. We had such a wonderful time, and wish the Girl About Town ladies all the best for the future. Happy 1st Birthday, GAT!
