As The Porch Sessions season two comes to a close, we are all feeling a little bit down and out. Where are we going to get our intimate, monthly music fix from now? Alas, fear not compadres. Sharni Honor, creator and founder of The Porch Sessions, has just announced a wonderful little surprise for us all; in the form of a brand new, winter inspired session. Introducing: The Cellar Door Sessions.
In true musical and wine matrimony, The Cellar Door Sessions will be taking place at the Hither & Yon Cellar Door, tucked away in the heart of Willunga. There will be wine by the glass thanks to the lovely Hither & Yon folk, along with wood-oven pizza on the food front. The music will be acoustic and unplugged, the fire will be roaring, and it will be all parts cosy and wintery. Doesn't that sound delightful.
Sharni tells us, "once every three weeks across the autumn and winter months we will stoke up the fires in H&Y’s cellar door, once a butcher shop, in the heart of Willunga to bring a collection of local and interstate travelling songwriters to the windowsill of this hidden gem". We cannot wait.
The Cellar Door Sessions will be held once every three weeks across the winter months, for five shows held on five Fridays (Fri-yays). The first session will be held on April 24th, however tickets are already sold-out (in 19 minutes, to be exact). So, you know what to do Adelaidians, get in quick for the next one!
Tickets and more information can be found on The Porch Sessions Facebook.
