Adelaide's premiere outdoor festival precinct has officially announced it's strongest indigenous lineup yet including Archie Roach, Dan Sultan, Djuka Lala, Ellie Lovegrove, and The Garden Sessions, with ten free concerts brought to you by some of the best indigenous musicians from SA and the Northern Territory.
Every year the Garden of Unearthly Delights brings some of the most incredible acts in Comedy, Music, Cabaret, Dance and more. But one of it's hidden treasures for the last three years has been The Garden Sessions (supported by APRA AMCOS and ArtsSA). These shows showcase some of the most talented local indigenous acts every Saturday and Sunday afternoon for FREE.
Nancy Bates, official Programmer of the Garden Sessions said "Now in it’s third year The Garden Sessions have shown a support for local Indigenous music makers rarely seen outside of Indigenous festivals and community events. It’s clear this is no token gesture, but an acknowledgement of the quality of locally grown Indigenous music.”
“The opportunity for the South Australian public to experience the voices and stories of our First Peoples will be a highlight for many during the Adelaide Fringe. The presence of the King of Indigenous Music, Archie Roach, supported by rising star and X Factor finalist Ellie Lovegrove is one of the most anticipated acts in the Garden 2015.”
The Garden of Unearthly Delights runs from Feb 12 - Mar 15.
