Fashion Concept Revealed

Fashion Concept Revealed

Adelaide's newest fashion event Fashion Concept officially launched last Wednesday night at the Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre.

An initiative between Adelaide fashion designer Hue Le and the duo FTM Model Management- Nick Kennet and Sarika Young.

Lets begin by saying how incredible this concept is! Yes it's fair to say that little old Adelaide isn't a global fashion hub like New York or London, but no one can argue that we don't have artistically blessed and fashion savvy designers putting us on the map. From the lustrous gowns of Paolo Sebastian, quirky and forward-fashion designs by casper&pearl to Australian Fashion Labels. Fashion Concept celebrated the success of each label presented, while providing the perfect platform for emerging designers to showcase their newest collections, all while allowing us to indulge in these up and coming brands.

Showcasing labels included Atlas the Label, Closet ModMarija Mita, Namoi, Willow and Grace, Yvonne Faye, menswear label Fools and Trolls, denim specialist Jeans Corp, bags by Olivia Nicole and shoes by Maria Rasimoglou.

One highlight of the night was definitely the 2013 Emerging Designer Award Recipient Georgia Guys A/W 2015 collection - her clean, sophisticated and modern designs were an absolute stand out.

Namoi was another favourite, and what was not to like - featuring a luxurious resort-wear inspired collection in a monochrome palette with a splash of stripes.

Other standouts included Ashlee Graham,  Millicent Elizabeth, and Fools and Trolls - each as innovative and creative as each other!

Guests were also treated to a live performance by former The Voice contestant Sarah Loyde. The fashion show was concluded with an exotic belly dance performance by the wonderful Nayima Hassan.

Well done to the creators of Fashion Concept, we can't wait to see what you have in store for us next year!
