This Saturday night Adelaidians will be experiencing the sounds of a multi-dimensional nature at Rhino Room. For the ultimate taste of the brilliantly bizarre and sensual sounds of our local electronic music scene, you don’t want to miss Enter The Parallax.
Headlining the night is none other than the local four-piece, Urtekk. They’ve had a hell of a year, kicking it off with an unforgettable performance at WOMADelaide and Rainbow Serpent. After receiving praise and plays from the team at Triple J for their DM3 Project, the dynamic group has now treated us all to their latest single, Pockets. The freakish and experimental mixture of beats put Urtekk in a league of their own when it comes to psychedelic, progressive electro.
Local ambient pop duo, Kimonono will also be making an appearance and with the live vocals of Caitlin Feagan, the good vibes will be emanating. If you’re itching to be pushed over the psychedelic precipice, the colourful, electro beats of How Green are sure to get you there.
Also on the lineup is local beatmaker, Datãkae, whose unique tunes can be described as “both wistful and hopeful, hypnotic and engaging.” As if these names aren’t enough to get you keen, DJ Real Deal will also be there providing boundless beats.
The night, orchestrated by local events gal, Cassie Powditch, will feature artists that offer a live experience like no other – an experience that will demand an appreciation for the pure and complex craft of sound.
So if you’re looking for a place to hang this Saturday night while also losing your mind in the best kind of way, Enter the Parallax is the way to go. We’re all in for a delightfully mind-bending evening.
