The Sleeping Garden

The Sleeping Garden

Mirna Taslidza

He is Adelaide's version of Oscar de la Renta... and thats saying something! Already dressing the likes of Giuliana Rancic, Rachael Finch and Dannii Minogue, theres no doubt that Paul Vasileff's name will go down in history as a fashion icon and mastermind.

He has miraculously mastered the art of creating sumptuous, feminine and moreish couture garments, with intricate details, fluid yet extravagant silhouettes that challenge the preconceived ideas of eternal elegance and style.

The Sleeping Garden  is Vasileff's latest A/W 2015 collection; it is like an illustration of a glamorous disney film. Soft lavenders, precious ivories, willow branch and blossom beading, romantic bow detailing, and fluid silhouettes embody the charm, innocence and beauty of a princess, while darker hues, bronzed embroidery, and extravagant and strong structures create a sense of darkness and mystery.

Now you have probably already guessed that I am a huge admirer (fan-girl) of Paolo Sebastian, but this collection is honestly something else! After hearing snippets about this collection, I was highly anticipating the reveal of this collection. When I finally laid my eyes upon it... how do I explain this? Have you ever witnessed something so beautiful, so dream-like and impeccable, that silence was the only means of expression? A collection so seamless it's like a dream that literally sucks the air out of your lungs, because you appreciate every essence of it? yep, that was me!

So instead of rambling along like a 1D fangirl at her first concert, I figured I would show you myself. The Sleeping Garden was captured by the talented Simon Cecere, and features the beautiful Samie Robinson from IMG models.

Let yourself be immersed by the tranquility that is the Secret Garden... please appreciate.
