Adelaide based legends Thom Lion and The Tamers, have just released their latest single 'Fruition', from their forthcoming EP; along with the premiere of their bold, bright and fun music video put together by local Adelaide filmmaker, Kieran Ellis-Jones.
Since bursting onto the music scene last year in Australia, UK and the USA, with his debut single 'Folk Divorce', Thom Lion and The Tamers have since received accolades from Triple J and Tom Ballard, along with music greats Steven Schram (Paul Kelly, San Cisco) and Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, Chet Faker) producing and mastering their latest track.
The music video embodies an up-lifting montage of dancing, old-school aerobics classes and energy, with enough bright colour to give an episode of art attack a run for its money. Created by local filmmaker Kieran from Crystal Arrow Films, this video is going straight to the pool room.
With a voice reminiscent of Dave Hosking from Boy and Bear and a similar folky sound to Mumford and Sons, Thom Lion is a treasure emerging from the rustic reality of Australian suburbia. With their up-beat folk-pop roots, Thom Lion and The Tamers are sure to make waves with their EP launch early next year.
You can catch Thom Lion and The Tamers launch 'Fruition' this Friday, November 14 at the Jade Monkey, with support from locals Sasha March & The Dawn Horse and Sam Brittain.
