The Adelaide Convention Centre will host this year’s Cellar Door Fest – a three-day celebration of more than 180 wineries, breweries, distilleries, and food producers from South Australia’s best wine regions.
The CDF will run from the 24th-26th of February and they promise a range of specials from your favourite SA producers. A “Flavours of the Fest Demo Stage”, “Meet the Makers” sessions, goodie bags, and a kids corner will all be present. Foodies, mark these dates in your diary and let us tell you what other ravishing events will be taking place at the festival that you can bite into.
The Urban Winery Project invites you to kick off your shoes and enjoy some authentic grape stomping, winemaking fun for free. All you need to do is reserve your 'stomping' spot in through the Urban Winery Project stand any time during the festival. Be among the first to sample wines made by folks like you during last years event: Urban Winery Project Red #4 (2016) Shiraz + Malbec and Urban Winery Project White #2 (2016) Gris + Gewurz +Riesling - how cool is that. There will be a foot washing station before and after for those concerned about wine stained feet.
The Distillery is new to the Cellar Door Fest in 2017, housing some of SA’s finest distillers. You’ll be able to meet the makers, get educated on the flavours and even learn how to turn a spirit into the perfect drink - whether it be shaken or stirred.
CDF is hosting the perfect Friday night drinks experience with Friday Knock Offs – four hours of SA’s best food, wine, beer, cider and spirits at the Friday Knock Off Bar, with local DJ’s providing the tunes. Not to mention, one ticket at $60 entitles you and a colleague entry to the festival with a bottle of Dominic Versace wine (tickets are only available for Friday 24th of Feb).
