Just when you thought this place couldn't get any better, La Boca Bar & Grill on North Terrace have launched their ultimate lunchtime concoction the Lunchador. This monster of a sandwich is the brain-child of esteemed La Boca head chef Nicolas Ariola, whose love for asador cooked meats and an Argentinian inspired menu, has caught the attention of many.
We've previously dined at La Boca before, for the release of Nicolas's Argentinian cook book with recipes from dishes he's created for the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to be invited back to taste this new go-to sandwich for anyone who loves quality ingredients at value for money pricing.
The concept of Lunchador is simple, select either of their asador cooked Lamb, Beef, or Pork (or why not have all three?) squeezed into a fresh sourdough roll with tasty pickled red onion and a sprinkle of jalapeños. We decided to go for the pork and beef Lunchador's, while other guests enjoyed a combination of all three meats. The flavours of the meat itself were incredible; you know you can taste real flavour when a lot of love and time has been put into cooking the meat a particular way, especially with the savouring charcoal bite at the end. The slight kick of jalapeños and natural crunch of the red onion tied the dish together perfectly.
You can grab the Lunchador at La Boca Monday to Friday from 12pm. Dine in or takeaway for Single, Double or Triple the meat from just nine bucks... how good is that! We'd like to thank Nicolas and La Boca, our hosts and the Stamford Plaza for another great experience at this fine restaurant, the Lunchador is one we'll be back for.
