Pretty sure you’ve heard of Jamface by now, or you might just know it as Poh’s Café. If you haven’t heard of Poh, you practically haven’t heard of Masterchef, which means you obviously don’t have a television and have therefore lead far more productive lives than the rest of us for the past 80-ish years. Well done.
But have you been to Jamface? No is the wrong answer (well it might be the correct answer, but it’s not what it should be).
Bang in the middle of the markets, amidst the fruit and veg, you’ll find a little haven of makeshift windows and gypsy lanterns, colourful tiles and drool-worthy things to eat. It strikes a lovely balance between intimate homemade-ness, artsy-ness, and straight-up quality. There is a lot of love here. In fact, I am officially in love with the place.
And seriously. Try telling me who wouldn’t love that menu. Take, for example, the Poached Eggs with Chorizo, Tomato, Capsicum, Kidney & Butter Beans. This is exactly what you want to eat for breakfast - you know it, I know it, get those flavours zinging on your tongue.
