A landmark on O'Connell Street, The Oxford Hotel has been given a revamp thanks to its new owners who have transformed this pub into a new age hipster establishment with an artistic glow.
The new owners Grant and Anastasia Murray have an extensive love for art, live music, and anything to do with expressing creativeness; this is where The Oxford has come alive with inspired murals and quirky artworks featured throughout the hotel.
There is not a perfect fixture for what they love either, as showcased around the establishment; there's murals of Bowie and Prince in one room, and large-scale creative paintings in another. With every corner you turn there's a new artist to appreciate and new perspective of an art movement to relate to.
Along with having great things to look at, The Oxford Hotel provides some delicious grub to nosh on and tasty local drinks to throw down the hatch. Actually, these blokes are all 'bout that locavore life; supporting SA artists, food suppliers/producers and winemakers, this place is truly hashtag local.
Their new menu offers everything you want in a pub, married to everything you want for a sustainable future. Their innovation of classic meals and organic produce makes their unique all-round menu one to drive in for and dive into; vegans and vegetarians rejoice! What we had a taste of on their relaunch night was only the beginning for The Oxford and we can't wait to see what else is on offer.
The Oxford Hotel is located at 101 O'Connell St, North Adelaide from 11am til late erryday (kitchen times available on their website) but also check their rad Facebook and Instagram pages for art/food/drank/everything inspo. We'd like to thank Grant, Anastasia, and Girl About Town Co for putting on a fabulous night and for being entertaining hosts as always!
