Looking for a place where you can have a great meal in a Balinese outdoor setting, that's a five minute drive from the CBD? Look no further than The Maid Hotel. Located at the very start of Magill Road, The Maid has launched it's newest spring/summer menu just in time for the *actual* nice weather.
The Maid showcased some fresh, filling and funky ideas on their new menu, with some signature summer cocktails to match. We tasted the Lattini and Lemon Splice from their new list and boy were they nice (unintentional rhyme). The Lattini is best described by The Maid as a "Farmers Union Iced Coffee but this is better" and I'm sure most South Aussies would be down to try it. The Lemon Splice is concocted using Vanilla Massa Limoncello, Licor 43 and Fresh Cream, and it honestly tastes like the best damn lemon cheesecake in existence #moveoverBey.
We got a peek into what the summer menu has to offer too. As main meals go, we tasted a few of The Maid's best new pub grub. The favourites for the day included Vietnamese Pork Belly, Paroo Kangaroo Fillet, Hendricks Cured Smoked Salmon and the Chilli Prawn & Crab Linguine. To treat ourselves afterwards, we had to try the Salted Caramel Tart and some cheeky ice-cream 'cause summer bods are over-rated (amirite).
