We Adelaidian's are pretty blessed to say the least; we have a beautiful city, fabulous eateries, and a growing night-life, and now we are lucky enough to be home to Australia's first cold-plate ice-cream shop! Scroll Ice-Cream set up shop in our hearts/the heart of Adelaide's CBD in York St (just behind Rundle St) just under two weeks ago, and they've been busy ever since, it's easy to see why:
Scroll Ice-Cream use cold-plates set to well below minus 20 degrees Celsius to ensure the mixture is kept cool and smooth. What's more, they make your ice-cream right in front of your eyes, from scratch. Can't get any fresher than that if you tried mate. Scroll even source their cows milk from the Fleurieu Milk Company and many other ingredients from South Australia, keeping the economic flow local, on ya guys!
Not only does Scroll Ice-Cream taste sensational, but they have six flavour combos to choose from, which is more than enough choice, with fantastic options for vegan, lactose free, and gluten free patrons without the use of gelatine or preservatives. Every staff member we met at Scroll is friendly and seem to be enjoying themselves while doing their jobs, Store Manager Danny also cranks some amazing tunes in-store and keeps the place full of positive vibes.
Scroll up, scroll up and take a photo of your scroll, chuck it onto Instagram and tag @scroll_icecream and hashtag #scrollin, and if they regram your pic you get a free scroll on your next visit! How brilliant is that? These guys sure know how to keep their customers happy and coming back for more. Check out Scroll on their Facebook, Instagram, and website, give them a visit as they're open from 1pm til midnight everyday; late-night cravings sorted!
We'd like to thank Danny and the amazing team at Scroll Ice-Cream Adelaide for their wonderful service and fantastic creations. You can find Scroll Ice-Cream at 35 York St, Adelaide, and if you're situated in Melbourne you can find the original Scroll at 190 High St, Windsor.
