The legendary landmark for midnight pie cravings, milkshakes that bring boys to the yard, and endless amounts of Nutella Hearts has moved location! Bakery on O'Connell is now open for business at 128 O'Connell Street (duh) in North Adelaide. After being at number 44 for over 12 years, the tradition of Bakery on O'Connell can now live on in a bigger and better space, keeping the same pastries and baked goods in full swing, 24/7.
Bakery on O'Connell has become a going-out right of passage for most of us that grew up in Adelaide's night life, and the place to meet your mates for a cuppa joe and a fresh-as-feck doughnut. Their new location showcases a cafe-style vibe, along with outdoor seating, an open floor plan on the left and right side, surrounded with a warm wooden theme and minimalistic but stylish furniture. Each table features a cute small vase of fresh flowers supplied by Tynte Flowers (located next door), bringing some life into the bakery - just in time for spring!
The bakery's new location also features some great additions that customers have been asking for including 24/7 fully accessible toilets within the bakery, loads of indoor and outdoor seating, and a bigger baking production space for the bakers to give us the best and freshest goods they have to offer. Interestingly, the original location of Bakery on O'Connell closed last Sunday August 30, and opened yesterday September 2, so these guys have been hard at work at both stores for some time #dedicationstation!
