They’ve rolled into the Adelaide bar scene guns-blazing, banjos in hand and ready to kick off the summer. This bar is full of Bayou-inspired cocktails, exclusive Fox Hat and The Buzz beers on tap, homemade bourbons and crunchy jerky.
With months of preparation and working their fingers to the bone, the hard work has finally paid off. As soon as you walk in, your senses run wild; the sounds of the blues, the look of classic timber and modern décor, the smell of chilli jerky, the feel of a cold beer glass, and the taste of a sensational cocktail. Are you hooked yet? You will be once you step off Gresham Street and into the bar that seemingly puts other American inspired establishments to shame.

Bacon Infused Bourbon Old Fashioned: If you love your bourbon or an old fashioned cocktail with a twist, this is perfect for you. Mississippi Moon have come up with the best way to bring bacon into bourbon, executing it brilliantly. The soft flavour of bacon, smoothness of maple syrup and a touch of orange bitters make this cocktail one for the ages.
Mint Julep: Oh mama, this ones a kicker! For anyone who enjoys the strong sensation of gin and mint, hit this one up. We were not as brave to drink this without help from others, and lots of crushed ice. The sugar syrup helps balance the minty-ness of this cocktail, and it’s beautiful and refreshing to drink on a hot summers eve.
Huckleberry Gin: Berry blast in yo mouth! This brilliant combo of Haymans Sloe Gin and Amaro Montenegro packs a punch, while the blueberries, strawberries and grapefruit juice add freshness and balance to this cocktail. Recommended for those who love berry flavours and a new twist on the ever-flexible Gin.
Full Moon: No, there’s no butts in this I’m afraid. This cocktail will just have you singing 'Uptown Funk' and making yourself a froth moustache. Combining Ole Smokey Apple Pie Moonshine, Cointreau, lime, and egg white, this beaut is one to come back for. The subtleness of apples and lime will make this one a bit too easy to drink, so take it nice n’ slow, sit back and listen to the sounds of jazz and laughter, where good times are to be had.
