To make everyone’s lives easier, below is a guide to some of Adelaide’s best breakfast spots to get that smashed avo fix needed to awaken you from your winter hibernation.
The Lost Deli
Boasting an exclusively vegan menu, this funky near-Norwood location offers all day breakfast including of course, avocado on toast. It’s simple, fresh, and so tasty you won’t even notice the absence of halloumi. Plus there’s a fridge filled with raw slices and vegan cupcakes ideal for a post-avo snack. A shout out also has to go the extensive range of pies and pastries, vegan-cheese filled and all.
Spill the Beans
A timeless favourite for humans and cavoodles alike. Located on a leafy Beaumont corner, this classic café offers a generous avo on toast serving as well as all the breakfast and lunch necessities including fluffy pancakes with all the trimmings and a delectable salmon-stuffed bagel. If that’s not enough to tempt you, the coffee is also 10/10.
An insta favourite. There’s no doubt you’ve come across this Walkerville hotspot somewhere in your feed and yes – it is as good as it looks. The menu leaves you spoiled for choice but sure-fire faves include the Mushroom Medley and the sweet potato fries (fries at brunch = big yes). You’ll also find a variety of delish desserts made fresh daily by local businesses.
